"The Fabric of Whales" is a stop motion project in a preproduction process as a first collaboration between four artists: Krajamine, illustrator and art director, the author George Sanderson alias Fuchstraum, Marcus Grysczok, stop motion animator and director, as well as Timo, musician. The workshop is going to be a surreal stop motion animation adventure based on the idea of Marcus Grysczok to bring the illustration of Krajamine — which is dark with a touch of fabulous magic — to life. Be part of the creative process and creations of the first looks. This project is the beginning of a collaborative experience.
„It’s about a girl and a whale and their story of growing and awareness.“
Scene 1: The darkness is the beginning. Some of us are crying. The noises are reaching us from the ocean with the smell of salt and algae. They are pushing into my darkness but then everything goes silent. Only me and the sea are left behind.
Scene 2: You won’t let me go. You are my boat and my anchor. I feel you. We are one. I am the ocean.
Scene 3: To be yourself is the first step to be connected to everything. We are the everything and it is the world. Being everything is the system.
Scene 4: You help me to get over barricades. You are my way and you keep me grounded. With you I see the things just like they are. You are my brave heart. Braveness is the second step to be connected to everything. We are the everything and it is the world. Being everything is the system.
Scene 5: You are my curiosity and my innocence. You are the voice in my head. With you I’m not alone and I experience friendship. Friendship is the third step to be connected to everything.
We are the everything and it is the world. Being everything is the system.
Scene 6: But you are also my self-will and my weakness. You are holding me. Without you I am nothing. And I don’t want to be nothing. To be nothing is the forth step to be connected to everything. You are the everything and it is your world.
Scene 7: But I don’t want to be this!

We want to create a teaser based on the script. It means, we work together on the script, the illustration, the characters, the animation and the soundtrack. That’s why all of the artists are joining the workshop and take care of one of those fields. So you will draw with Krajamine, write with Fuchstraum and animate with Marcus.

Christin Schonert alias Krajamine is an illustrator, artist and photographer based in Erfurt. Her works sometimes are kind of gloomy but enchant with their magically beauty.
George Sanderson alias Fuchstraum is an author based in Erfurt. The Fox rummages through books, raises his voice and forms words to his tools. His heart beats for the dreams and for the inner light all the time.
Marcus Grysczok, stop motion passionate artist and director of the Boddinale Stop Motion Academy. His favorite playgrounds are artistic music videos and interactive stop motion workshops. His visual products are an organic mixture of chaos and organization, chance and skill, a high standard of sustainable work and a lot of creative freedom. With his good understanding of creating projects in short time and his huge motivation there’s nothing he can’t do. So you don’t have to be afraid of any problem, he will solve it together with you and as a team we finish the project in time with the best fun that’s possible.
Rosalie Töpfer, she’s the one with the master plan and will guide you through the whole experience. If you have any questions she is your answer. She’s controlling the flow and pulls the strings in the back (and in any other spaces).
