Debut feature film from Canadian writer/Director R. K. Fielden. This 77 minute Dogma film was shot in Los Angeles on a Sony Digital 8mm camera and literally had a budget of 30 euros for the Digital 8mm tapes!! The film was shot in 22 hours, 2 hours each sunday for 11 weeks as the cast had day jobs during the week. There was no camera man only the actors passing the camera around to film each other. The 96 page script was meant to be an updated version of the fast talking Warner Bros crime/gangster films of the late 20s early 30s, where seemingly decent working class guys try to get a little extra money by turning to a life of crime. The Trailer Park Boys and A Clockwork Orange mixed into a beer drinking, drug taking, cop killing romp through the dark underbelly of America!
After five years of operations and chemotherapy, Bruno, a Berlin based 45 year old australian musician decides to refuse any more treatments that could have prolonged his life in pain. As a determined, charming man, Bruno's aim was to spend the last month with his family and friends, and die in a place that he felt secure, home. Living his everyday life, with no tomorrows, yet so many yesterdays, this documentary follows him with such practical tasks as organising the funeral, picking a "good spot" in the cemetery, writing goodbye letters to his children, while some of his closest friends reflect about their relationship with a dying friend, and their own fear of death.
